『Kawaii』シリーズ

文字は、意味を伝えるための“記号”として扱われることが多いですが、私はその枠から少し外れたところに、
軽やかで愛らしい”可愛い”表情が潜んでいると感じています。

「Kawaii 」シリーズでは、篆書体をベースに装飾を加え色をまとわせて文字をデザイン的なオブジェとして再構築しています。

文字が本来持つ“意味”や“役割”からそっと離れ、新しい表情へと変化していくシリーズです。
書の経験を軸にしながら、より自由で遊びのある世界を探る試みです。

About the"Kawaii"

Characters are often treated as symbols whose main purpose is to convey meaning.

But I feel that just outside that framework, there is a light, charming, and truly kawaii expression waiting to appear.

In the “Kawaii” series, I use ancient seal script as a base, adding decorative elements and soft colors to
reimagine characters as design-oriented objects.

By gently stepping away from the original “meaning” and “function” of the characters,

this series allows them to shift into new expressions and identities.

Grounded in my experience with calligraphy, it explores a freer, more playful world of form and line.
